Kirby grew up along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay south of Annapolis, Maryland. She has lived an active lifestyle since day one, participating in team sports throughout her youth, devoting herself to yoga during her college years, and actively pursuing outdoor recreation upon graduation. Her interests in health and wellness led her to acquire a B.S. in Kinesiology in 2012, an A.A.S. in Therapeutic Massage in 2013, a yoga teacher certification in 2014, and most recently, an A.A.S. to become a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in 2020.

Having never skied in her life, she moved to the little ski town of Whitefish, MT in winter of 2017. Once a hiker, backpacker, rock climber, now a downhill and cross-country skier, whitewater boater, and all-around outdoorswoman.
